Tapestries and Tabbed Curtains
Sue Coleman Shooter Glasses
In India, tapestries are what locals use as bed covers. People also use them at home for tablecloths, bed-sheets, room dividers, curtains, window treatments, ceiling decor and quick cover-ups.
The corner loops make Sunshine Joy tapestries the perfect multipurpose outdoor traveling companion. Secure your picnic sheet down at the park. At festivals, stake out an appropriate amount of space for your friends. Tie up a sunscreen at the campsite. Add some privacy to your car. Great at the beach as a windproof beach sheet or sun cover-up.
100% Cotton – the Sunshine Joy tapestries and tabbed curtains are printed, not quilted or woven. Thin as a sheet, good, tight power loom construction, hemmed edges, and the corners have a small fabric loop attached. Built to last the loops keep your tapestry hole free. Blessing Rings are versatile charms that touch the heart. For your pocket, key chain or necklace; the size of a quarter, Blessing Rings express individual poignant messages about all of life’s biggest, unexpected and everyday moments.
The Blessing Rings back is engraved with different inspirational and thought provoking terms of endearment. Individually hand crafted in pewter, the center is outlined with a symbol for a specific subject.
We’re restocked with gorgeous, naturally scented candles, each with its own lovely lead-free pewter pendant, in a vast array of gorgeous, rich colours. Be sure to have a look (or sniff) next time you’re in.
Kuan Yin (also spelled Quan Yin, Kwan Yin, and often know as Kuan Shih Yin) is one of the most beloved Buddhist deities. She is known in the East as the bodhisattva of compassion. The name Kuan Yin translates as “one who hears the cries of the world.” It is this compassion that made her vow to forgo nirvana until every last being was freed from suffering. If you are feeling stuck in the Heart Chakra, in need of compassion, or want to deepen your practice if Loving Kindness, a practice to Kuan Yin will help open you to Love.
The goddess Kuan Yin is a symbol, not only of the Chinese assimilation of Buddhism, but also of the many hued flavor of karuna, expressed through the softer wisdom of a woman. She is a pointer to the re-emergence of the goddess and the gender transformation of Avalokiteshvara in China represents perhaps a universal imperative, which is similarly reflected in the emanation of the goddess Tara from the compassionate tears of the same bodhisattva. We have several Kuan Yin statues to chose from.
