Our table salt nowadays has little in common with the actual meaning of the word "salt". Table salt consists of NaCl (Natrium chloride). This does not deserve the name "salt" as salt is a symbiosis of 84 elements - exactly those 84 elements that our planet Earth is made of and that created the physical body. Over the centuries, mankind found a way to "refine" the salt and to separate 82 of the 84 elements so that at the end of this process only NaCl was left - our "salt". Up to 2000 different chemicals are necessary to separate these 82 elements from the original salt.

The alternative to table salt and sea salt (both iodized) is raw crystal salt, which has been formed in the mountains under constant pressure over centuries and has not been exposed to pollution. Crystal salt consists of 84 important elements; they are present in an inorganic form so they can be absorbed by our cell membranes.

Crystal salt is the purest form of natural salt with a heterogeneous mixture of minerals and trace elements. Crystal salt was known as the "Salt of Kings" in earlier times and reserved for nobility only. Back in those times salt was regarded as one of the most important foods. Most of the salt available today is a by-product, an industrial waste that is mirrored in the price of the salt.
