In science, a crystal is a solid substance in which the atoms, molecules, or ions are arranged in an orderly repeating pattern extending in all three spatial dimensions.

Crystals are used for healing, meditation, energy work, storing information, protection, grounding, and channeling. Many have specific shapes such as crystal skulls and singing crystal bowls, used for healing, balancing, awakening, and scrying. Crystal scrying deals with the images one sees within a crystal (holograms) and how that helps them shape their destiny at a given time. These images may appear to change in time. Your mind can also project images into a quartz crystal.

They vibrate to different frequencies depending on the crystal, its size and use. Quartz crystals have excellent healing properties. Quartz also has the ability to transform an imbalanced energy field. When you feel stressed the crystal can balance your energies and revitalize you. Small quartz crystals left in water will ionize the water and is a good drink for healing.

Amethyst

Amethyst purifies and dispels negativity. Used extensively in meditation. Stone of Spirituality and contentment. It balances the energies of the intellectual, emotional, and physical bodies and provides a clear connection between the Earth plane and other worlds. Apophyllite

Apophyllite has been used to create a conscious connection between the physical form and the spiritual realm. Apophyllite facilitates attunement to ones body as well as to the higher dimensional life forms. Apophyllite has been used to facilitate astral travel. It allows one to see into the future, and the pyramids can be used to stimulate one's intuitive vision. It is a stone that may bring illumination to any situation, and is a great tool for sorting out your own thoughts when you're confused.

Calcite

This transparent crystal can be found in a variety of colors including clear, green, pink, orange and blue. It forms within the veins of huge slabs of limestone. Geologists have found evidence of yellow calcite dating back millions of years. When yellow calcite occurs in combination with brown aragonite and other minerals, it is called septarian. Calcite is considered a powerful amplifier and cleanser of various types of energies. It was used for thousands of years as lime in folk medicine. It has been used as a poultice for skin disease, warts, ulcers and wounds. It is said to assist in the transformation of ideas into action.

Citrine

Citrine expands the auric field, filling it with light and clearing away any lingering etheric toxins. Citrine is also a wonderful manifestation crystal by motivating you into taking action. It brings optimism and cheerfulness. Citrine is a good stone for aligning all the chakras. It focuses on balancing the solar plexus chakra, which in turn integrates the lower and higher chakras. Citrine never requires cleansing, as it doesn't hold any negativity. Citrine energizes, invigorates, promotes warmth, comfort, and energy. It aids in matters of daily living and it is said citrine will open the mind to new thoughts. Citrine is often used by healers to increase self esteem.

Diamantina

Diamantina crystal is a "singing crystal" from Brazil and are often referred to as "record keepers". These singing crystals (also called diamantina's from the area in Brazil they come from) are valued highly by crystal light workers,because of their unusual vibrational energies.

Lemurian

Lemurian Seed Crystals are said to have originated in a country known as Mu or Lemuria. This civilization, according to the legends existed in ancient times in the area of the South Pacific which is now beneath the sea. The Lemurians are believed to have foreseen a cataclysmic event, and prepared the Seed Crystals to preserve their knowledge and traditions. Legends tell us some of the Lemurians have departed the Earth for the stars and others inhabit the deep inner reaches of our planet, perhaps as light beings or spirits. These crystals have yin elemental energies that have been found to facilitate communications with certain types of beings of higher energy levels.

Faden Quartz

The Faden crystal is one of connection, stimulation and furthering connective forces between the self and that which is chosen as the recipient. Rose Quartz

Rutilated Quartz

Quartz stones that contains mineral inclusions are called "rutilated quartz" or "sagenite", popularly known as Venus-hair stone. Rutiles are small needlelike crystals. These may be red, black or brassy yellow. Golden rutilated quartz integrates energy at many levels. It heightens the energy of other quartz stones and is an important healing stone.

Smokey Quartz
